The Valley

The valley ,capital of Angulla which is one of the beautiful city in Anguilla island and has the population of about 1169(2001 Survey)
This city has wallblake that was established in the year of 1787 ,now that has been used as a rectory by church.
Now a days lots of new shop has been opened and some of older buildings are renovated for use as West indian style cottages and old shop have been modernized and renovated.
In the lower valley of the villla peoples who have their own dwellings restored their old historic kept intact and maintains their own old historic style and their culture.
Miss Marjorie Hodge’s Homestead is one of the most photographed wooden dwellings on the island.Also, the Warden’s Palace was once the home of British agents.
A house now known as Koal Keel Restaurant is made with green two story wood and stone ,still they use the oven in the garden for baking that has been used by Gumbs family in the year of 1985.
At the highest point of Crocus Hill has ruins of old court house ,old broken walls of few basement of jail cells.
At the western end of Valley,Wallblake House ,a plantantation home which was bult around 1787,and now become owned by Catholic church and St. Gerard’s Catholic Church with its highly original facade of pebbles.
The valley has a Wallblake Airport.
